Leo Shoemaker is currently engaged in investment strategies and manufacture and sale of hex beam amateur radio antennas. Born in Kentucky and with a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Louisville, he began his career in several technical positions with the Bell System. He served as Director of Industry Relations at BellSouth (now AT&T) and later, Director of wholesale markets. He is past chairman of the Birmingham Christian Business Men’s Committee and attends the Presbyterian Church of America. Leo and his wife, the former Judy Steorts of West Virginia, have six grown children and reside in Birmingham, Alabama and central Florida.
